McChord Pipeline Company
The McChord Pipeline is a six-inch diameter, 14.2-mile intrastate pipeline acquired from Buckeye Pipeline Company in 1996. It transports military grade jet fuel, originating at the Refinery and terminating at the receiving meter located on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The pipeline was originally constructed in 1966 and was operated by Buckeye Pipeline Company from 1967 until 1996 when it was purchased by U.S. Oil & Refining Co. McChord Pipeline Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of and is operated by U.S. Oil & Refining Co.
